Duke University Health System (DUHS) Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Initiative

Duke University partnered with Amplifi Labs to develop the Social, Environmental, and Equity Drivers (SEED) Health Atlas, a groundbreaking web-based data visualization platform. This innovative tool empowers researchers, community members, and organizations to explore and understand the social, environmental, and equity factors influencing health outcomes in Durham and surrounding counties. By transforming complex data into accessible insights, SEED Atlas bridges the gap between research and real-world impact.

The SEED Health Atlas leverages cutting-edge web technologies to deliver an intuitive, interactive experience. Built with advanced data visualization frameworks and robust backend systems, the platform enables seamless exploration of curated datasets. Amplifi Labs’ expertise in scalable web development and user-centered design ensures that users can visualize and analyze social determinants of health (SDOH) with ease, fostering data-driven decision-making.

The mission of Health Atlas is to promote health equity by making social and environmental health drivers transparent and actionable. This platform equips researchers and local communities with the tools to identify disparities, advocate for policy change, and enhance research efforts. By amplifying access to vital data, SEED Atlas supports improved health outcomes, stronger community partnerships, and a deeper understanding of the upstream factors shaping well-being.
